About Me

Hi! I’m Christina, and thank you for visiting my photography website!

My journey with photography began at age five, when I received a Polaroid camera for my birthday. That small gift sparked a lifelong passion for capturing the world through a lens. Since then, I’ve explored both darkroom and digital photography, mastering the fundamentals and creating portfolios that reflect my developing skills.

Beyond technique, I’ve always believed photography can be a powerful tool for connection and understanding. Combining this belief with my fascination for neuroscience, I’ve embarked on a project that merges two of my greatest passions.

My latest portfolio, Through Their Eyes, uses models to represent the experiences of individuals living with psychiatric conditions like depression and PTSD. By collaborating with patients to tell their stories, I aim to foster empathy and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. This project has been an incredibly meaningful exploration for me, and has reinforced that art and science can intersect to drive social change.

Outside of photography, I’ve dedicated much of my high school years to neuroscience research and coursework, with a particular interest in psychiatric conditions. This work has deepened my appreciation for the complexity of the human mind and inspires much of my creative vision.

I invite you to explore Through Their Eyes in the Work in Progress section and dive into my other portfolios to see how I’ve used photography to celebrate the beauty of the world around us.
